We were founded in 2019 by Taras Yurechko, who brings 13 years in the trade. Our five-person team has more than 30 years of combined experience between them.

We build flagstone patios and walkways, natural stone steps, front porches, stone veneer and pool coping. We also install glass railings, most often on the stone steps and porches we build ourselves.

Why the Company Exists

Taras spent years working on other people's jobs and kept seeing the same five failures repeat.

Measurements taken carelessly, so the material arrived in the wrong size. Mounting systems too weak for what was sitting on top of them. Hardware chosen on price, then rusting through its second winter. Dates that moved without a phone call. And the worst one: nobody answering once the final invoice cleared.

Antex was built to invert all five. Measure properly. Check what you're mounting into before you order anything. Buy hardware that survives road salt. Tell the client the same day something changes. Then stand behind the result after the cheque clears.

That's the whole idea. It isn't complicated, but very few companies in this trade actually run that way.

What We've Built

Since starting in the trade, our founder and team have completed more than 1,000 stone installations. We now finish 100 or more residential projects a year. Our largest single residential job covered roughly 5,000 square feet of stone.

About half our work arrives by referral, either from past clients or from the landscape companies who bring us in when a job needs stonework done properly.

Flagstone is our specialty. Flagstone patios, walkways, porches and steps are what we do most, and what we do best. Front porch renovation is close behind.

How We Work

One person, start to finish

Your project manager takes the measurements, prepares the estimate, runs the installation and performs the final inspection. You are not handed off between departments, and you don't have to explain your project twice.

Measurement before anything is ordered

We visit the site, measure it properly, and check the mounting surface. Wood, concrete, steel, existing stone. Whatever the railing or the stone is going onto gets inspected before the order goes in, because a panel that arrives in the wrong size is a two-week delay nobody needs.

A written estimate within one to two business days

Itemized into materials and labour, prepared after the site visit. We reply to new inquiries within one business day.

Daily updates

At the end of each working day you hear what got done and what happens next. If weather moves the schedule or a material is delayed, you find out by phone, text or email as soon as we know.

Your property gets protected

Tarps, plywood and coverings over floors, landscaping, walls and existing finishes. Dust control for interior work. Old material removed and disposed of. Every project ends with a proper cleanup, because the job isn't finished until the space is ready to use.

A final walkthrough before the last payment

We inspect alignment and spacing, tighten every piece of hardware, hand over care instructions, and walk the project with you. The remaining balance comes after you've approved the work, not before.

What We Don't Do

We'd rather tell you upfront than surprise you later.

Interlocking, retaining walls, armour stone, excavation and concrete driveways are handled by subcontractors we've worked with for years. We manage those trades and stay responsible for the outcome, but the hands on that portion of the work aren't ours.

Glass and metal hardware are fabricated by our suppliers. We don't cut, temper or drill glass in-house, and we don't manufacture railing hardware.

We don't provide engineering drawings, permit applications or building inspection support. If your project needs those, we'll tell you at the site visit so you can arrange them.

We work on residential properties, custom homes, renovations, new construction and multi-unit residential buildings. We take on builder and contractor projects, and we work with property management. We don't take condo, retail, restaurant, hotel, office, industrial or municipal work.

Glass Railings: A Straight Answer

Railings are a newer part of what we offer. We added them because clients kept asking for a railing on the steps we had just built, and coordinating two companies on one entrance is a bad experience for everyone.

We're not going to claim a decade of railing history we don't have. What we do bring is 13 years of getting measurements right, core drilling into stone and concrete, and preparing bases for railing posts on other people's railing jobs. The crew that builds your steps sets your railing. One measurement, one schedule, one company answering the phone.

We install to Ontario Building Code requirements for the scope we contract, and we provide a written workmanship warranty along with the manufacturer warranties on materials we supply. Certificates of insurance and WSIB clearance are available on request, and we send them to builders and property managers automatically.
