On budget. Most of our projects land between $10,000 and $15,000. If you're working with less than that, tell us anyway. Sometimes the scope can be staged across two seasons, and sometimes we'll point you to someone better suited. Either answer beats a wasted afternoon.

Common questions
Do you charge for estimates?
No. On-site estimates are free for projects within our service area. We come out, measure, and send you an itemized quote.
Can you quote over the phone or from photos?
We can give you a rough sense of whether a project is a fit and roughly where the budget sits. We can't give you a real number without measuring and checking what we'd be building on. Careless measurement is the single most common reason stone and railing jobs go wrong, and we'd rather not start there.
Do you handle building permits?
No. We don't apply for permits and we don't provide engineering drawings or inspection support. Where we think a permit is likely to be needed, we'll tell you at the site visit so you can arrange it. Confirming the requirement with your municipality is the property owner's responsibility.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, when the weather and the type of installation allow it. Stone and mortar work can't be done properly in frozen ground, and we won't install something we know won't hold. Some work carries on through the cold months, and some has to wait for spring. We'll tell you honestly which yours is.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the scope and on material availability, especially with natural stone where batches come from quarries. We give you a written timeline with your estimate, and you get an update at the end of every working day once we start.
Do you use your own crew?
For stone installation, masonry, veneer, concrete flatwork and railings, yes. Interlocking, retaining walls, armour stone, excavation and concrete driveways are handled by subcontractors we've worked with for years. We stay your point of contact and stay responsible for the outcome either way.
What warranty do you offer?
A written workmanship warranty on our installation labour, plus the manufacturer warranties on materials we supply. What's covered, what isn't, and how to make a claim are all set out on our Warranty page.
Do you take builder and contractor work?
Yes. We work with builders, general contractors, landscape companies and property management. About half our work already arrives that way. Insurance certificates and WSIB clearance go out automatically.
