1. Who We Are
Antex is an owner-operated stone and railing installation business based in Mississauga, Ontario, serving the Greater Toronto Area.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to information we collect in the course of quoting and completing projects.
We handle personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. What We Collect
Information you give us directly
When you contact us, request an estimate, or become a client:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Property address and, where relevant, access details
- Project details, measurements, site conditions and budget range
- Photographs of your property taken during assessment and installation
- Correspondence between us
- Payment information for invoicing. We do not store full credit card numbers.
We collect this to respond to your inquiry, prepare an estimate, perform the work, invoice you, and provide warranty service afterward.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, technology on the page collects information about your visit. This includes:
- IP address, and general location derived from it such as city and region
- Device type, operating system, browser and screen size
- Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth and navigation path
- Referring website or advertisement you arrived from
- Clicks, taps, mouse movement and scrolling behaviour
- Video-like recordings of your session on the site, and aggregated heatmaps
- Whether you submitted a form or called us after clicking an advertisement
- Cookie and device identifiers assigned by the tools listed in Section 4
Please read Section 4 carefully. We use session recording, which collects more than conventional website analytics.
Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We do not ask for and do not want your Social Insurance Number, banking passwords or government identification.

We use your information only for these purposes. If we ever want to use it for something new, we will ask first.
4. Analytics, Advertising and Session Recording
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies that assign your browser a random identifier, and records pages viewed, events such as form submissions and phone-number clicks, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser information, and the source that brought you to the site. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address in reports.

Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps
We use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation. Clarity records your session on this website. The recording captures mouse movement, clicks and taps, scrolling, the pages you move through, and how you interact with page elements. Recordings are replayed as a video-like reconstruction of the visit. Clarity also produces aggregated heatmaps showing where visitors click and how far they scroll.
Microsoft may combine Clarity data with other data it holds about you, including for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with its own terms. We do not control that.

If you would rather not be recorded, decline analytics cookies on our consent banner, or use the opt-out options in Section 8.
Google Ads
We advertise through Google Ads. Tags on this site record when a visit or an inquiry followed a click on one of our advertisements, so we can measure which campaigns work. The same tags allow us to build remarketing audiences, which means you may see Antex advertisements on Google Search, YouTube, Gmail and websites in the Google Display Network after visiting our site.
We can see aggregate audience data. We cannot identify you through these tools, and we do not receive a list of who is in an audience.

Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It records visits and actions on our site, such as form submissions, so we can measure advertising results on Facebook and Instagram and build audiences for future advertising. This includes showing our advertisements to people who visited specific pages, and to audiences Meta identifies as similar to our past inquirers.
The Pixel sets cookies and may read the fbclid parameter from advertisement links. Depending on how it is configured, the Pixel may also send Meta a hashed version of an email address or phone number you submit through a form, so that Meta can match the inquiry to an account.

Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage the tags described above. Tag Manager itself does not collect personal information or set analytics cookies. It is the container that deploys the tools that do.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google Search results. It reports aggregated, anonymous data about search queries, impressions and clicks. It does not identify individual visitors and sets no cookies on this site.
WordPress and Elementor
The site runs on WordPress with the Elementor page builder. WordPress sets cookies only for logged-in administrators. Elementor may set a cookie to remember that you have already dismissed a popup, so it isn't shown to you again.
Inquiry forms submitted through the site are stored in our website database and forwarded to our email. See Section 7 for how long we keep them.
5. Cookies and Your Consent
We ask for your consent before setting analytics and advertising cookies. Cookies strictly necessary to make the site work are set without consent, because the site cannot function without them.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies used on this site, what they do, who sets them and how long they last.
Blocking or clearing cookies through your browser also works. Doing so may affect how parts of the site behave.
6. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We never have. Your name, address and project details are not shared with lead brokers, marketing lists or other contractors.
We share it only with:
Our subcontractors and suppliers, and only the information they need to do the work. Interlocking, concrete, retaining wall, armour stone, excavation, drainage and drawing work is performed by subcontractors. Glass, glass hardware and metal railing components are ordered from suppliers, which requires sharing measurements and sometimes site photographs. Subcontractors and suppliers are required to use that information only for your project.
Our service providers, including our website host, email provider, accounting software, payment processor, and the analytics and advertising platforms described in Section 4.
Professional advisors, such as our accountant, insurer or lawyer, where necessary.
Authorities, where we are required to disclose by law, court order or a valid regulatory request, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
7. Where Your Information Goes and How Long We Keep It
Cross-border processing
Some of our service providers are located outside Canada, primarily in the United States. This includes Google, Microsoft and Meta, and may include our email and hosting providers.
When your information is processed in another country, it is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessible to that country's courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We are required to tell you this under PIPEDA. We use providers that offer contractual protections for the data they handle, but we cannot exempt them from the laws where they operate.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or destroy it securely.
8. Your Choices and Your Rights
Under PIPEDA you can:
Access your information. Ask us what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used. We will respond within 30 days. There is normally no charge. If a request is unusually extensive we will tell you the cost before proceeding.
Correct it. If something we hold is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
Withdraw consent. You can withdraw consent to marketing communications, to analytics and advertising cookies, and to the use of your project photographs, at any time. Withdrawing consent for something necessary to complete work already under contract may mean we cannot continue the project, and we will tell you clearly if that is the case.
Request deletion. Ask us to delete your information. We will comply unless we are required to keep it for tax, legal, insurance or warranty reasons, and we will tell you which records we must retain and why.
Complain. Contact our Privacy Officer first. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

9. Marketing Communications and CASL
We send marketing emails or text messages only to people who have given express consent, or where we have implied consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation because of an existing business relationship. Implied consent arising from a business transaction lasts 24 months.
Every marketing message identifies us, includes our contact information, and includes a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days, usually immediately.
Project-related messages such as scheduling, updates, invoices and warranty matters are transactional rather than marketing, and are sent as part of delivering your project.
We keep a record of when and how consent was given.
10. Project Photographs
We photograph completed work for quality records. Under PIPEDA, photographs of your home and property are personal information.
We will not publish photographs of your property, or use your name, location or project details in marketing, without your explicit written opt-in consent given in advance. Consent is asked for separately and is never a condition of us doing the work.
You can withdraw consent at any time. We will remove the content from our website and from marketing we control within a reasonable period. Material already distributed on third-party platforms may take longer, and in some cases may be beyond our control.
We do not publish street addresses alongside project photographs.
11. Security
We limit access to personal information to the people who need it. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Devices used by our team are password protected, and access to our website administration and email accounts is restricted.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires.
12. Third-Party Links
This site links to other websites, including supplier and manufacturer sites, review platforms and social media. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with the "Last updated" date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear on the page and, where appropriate, ask for renewed consent.
